Welding neck flange

Stainless steel high neck flange or Welding neck flange is a type of flange whose neck and neck are welded to one end of a pipe or accessory by beveled edge welding (V-welding).

Collared flanges are used for critical applications where the weld can only be inspected for quality by radiographic methods. Collared flanges are often chosen for high pressure pipes. The design of the flange and the strength of the weld will help reduce pressure concentration.

Welding neck flange are often made by forging. Although they are thinner than other types of flanges of the same size, they are very sturdy.
